Acknowledgements

This study utilized repeated survey data collected across five cycles (2001/2002, 2005/2006, 2009/2010, 2013/2014, and 2017/2018) of the HBSC study, an internationally comparative research project conducted in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe. The international coordinators were Candace Currie and Jo Inchley (University of Glasgow), and the database manager was Oddrun Samdal (University of Bergen). Petra Löfstedt (Public Health Agency in Sweden) was the principal investigator for the Swedish surveys.
